Currently Working Opennap Servers

I started this thread so that people can get working opennap servers quickly. I believe that there are about 50-60 currently running opennap servers. But the trouble is that I have never quite managed to get all of them. I have included in this file the following servers:

I have checked all of them and they do seem to be working as of the time I am making this post. lol
If you have problems connecting to them, then best that you contact the server admins. They'll best recify them. Most of them do not have help sites or forums. so you'll need to contact via winmx only.

If you'd like to host your own servers as well, then the most common tool used by people is slavenap which you can get from www.slavanap.org

There are tools avaiable that will get you lists of working servers. But they do not seems to list all the servers that are there.

You can get Gotnap for there. It's a great tool for finding working wsx files

You can even find some servers via google.

napmx is by far the simplest way to get a load of good servers loaded in to winmx - it's what i use when i want to get opennap servers to connect to

I'm posting two important notifications:

One : I recently realised this. It is possible that two or more servers are linked to each other. So if you see the message "Another user with the same name is online" then it is highly probable that one of ther servers you have already connected is is linked to that server. Or it is possible that you have two copies of the same server in your list under with different names

eg: Franceopennap and France_opennap can simultaneously be on the same list twice with the same hostnames. Winmx only checks the name and not the hostnames that might be there within that server.

Two : IMPORTANT

If you want to connect to opennap servers properly, then please do not use peer guardian. or else disable all the lists there except the winmxworld locklist.
Else you will experience a multitude of problems

I have started my own server

Name : Speeches WorldWar & IndianMusic
Hostname : speechwarbroadcast.is-a-geek.org

Rules and requirements :

You need atleast 50 files and 100 mb.
No adult material what so ever.
You need not be registered.
Incomplete files are not counted and nor are text files to the minimum number of shared files amd size....
Minimum file size is 100 kb.

[edit] I forgot to tell what files: The server is mainly for (as one can guess from the names) speeches and classical music of all sorts.
Speeches include Radio broadcasts, National Anthems, Marches, etc. You can share anything else you have as well...

ive repopend mine, duno how long for, was bored, and was still getting loads of traffic from a old hostname i really should get rid off hitting port 8888. my firewall was getting on me nervous showing 99999 million attacks everytime i looked so if ya cant beat them join them. so i have please pop along ya all welcome again. still no limits, till it starts to fill up
