i was just looking through disney pictures on winmx! I was wondering if anyone else is disgusted with the child porn photo's and other media forms that seem to be allowed to be downloaded by anyone.There is also legeslation in most countries around the world giving fedral police the duty to arrest these perpetrator's, wicth will result in seizure of computers, land and property.I hope the operators of winmx can find some way to fix this problem and track these scum who list these titles on their harddrive's.I use winmx regularly, and find it a very useful software tool.does anybody else feel the same?

As you may know the whole network is decentralised and this allows anyone to do as they please basically, there is no central server that folks have to use to swap files as systems like Napster used, this means effectively that unless the relevant authorities join the network themselves and log the perpetrators IP,s and the shared contents then there is nothing that can be done about it.

To the vigilantes out there:
I would like to let some of you know that a few of those types of rooms are actually sting rooms used by the authorities to snare this sort of person so please do not think you are helping when you drive these folks underground where the authorities cannot track them.

The suggested action to take if you come across this sort of file by accident is to delete it and send a stern message to the person from whom you received it that you are reporting them to the authorities.

If your in a chat room and one of the room members has this material ask the room host to act and remove this person and do so in a public manner, shaming this type of offender is a good policy as they need to be made aware that this sort of material is not acceptable amongst decent folks.
the host is of course free to report the IP of the person to the police, or on the link below if they are concerned with any legal fallout from file sharing.

shame the authoritys can sit someone in my room they could catch at least 20 a week of these sick sick ppl cuz thats around the amount me and my admins humilaite and ban on average some are names that have been around for a long time and reported b 4 but just keep on comming back

I frankly dont give a rats a** for paedophiles that prey on children, these same children are just smaller human beings who rely on the older and bigger ones for protection of their right not to be abused, to recognise this fact laws have been enacted in many lands to demonstrate the popular support of this simple concept.

well perhaps he should then such a serious issue as child porn might not get so  trivialised by ppl such as yourself because i can think of a lot of people that might not think it so funny,the term engage brain then speak comes to mind
