I have a new hp 7750 with vista i have downloaded winmx but it keeps resetting after 30 secs. my other p2p works fine (Shareaza) i can only set to secondry connection my other computer which has windows xp works fine can anyone help please

There have been issues of winmx with vista.
does primary work alright in vista?

No it will not even work on Primary i have even tried reinstalling it

People have reported problems with secondary although others have reported it works fine, the problems are being looked at to see if it can be fixed or not, however i'm one of those that got it working just fine which makes problem solving a little harder, lol

but that's why you shouldn't rush out and buy an untested operating systems - most people are saying to give vista a year, personally i'd suggest 6 months or so, vista breaks a lot of programs and people who chose to use it should expect things to be broken

I agree with you KM. I work as a I.C.T Technician at a local Computer Company and i tell all of the customers who ask to wait atlest 6 months i suggest a year so that Microsoft can iron out their Famous Bugs and Glitches. I personally now have grown to like Vista but i will say i do not intend to buy it nor use it.

It's not the worst thing that they've ever produced - but i wouldn't suggest it for normal users who expect everything to work, because quite simply it won't all work.

the biggest complaints were:
1. the DRM attempts in it - they are just an annoyance rather than a realistic problem, i used the voice recognition today to tell it to download a TV program extract the rar files then play it back and it didn't complain once, lol
2. the bloatedness of it, realistically as long as you have a high spec PC it's not too much of a problem, but i does use huge amounts of resources for itself so it is a good idea to have lots spare as that makes the %age wasted lower, lol
3. the fact they are going for the "nice look" rather than a "practical and usable look" - which to be honest many programs are doing and people have to get use to it, i'm not going to happy about it but i'm sure in a few years time i'll have no choice but to have a computer with just 2 buttons on the keyboard because multiple buttons are "too complicated" and spend hours trying to type a single word because it "looks nicer"... lol (i seriously hope that's an exaggeration and not where computers are really heading)
