NTL took over Telewest and then merged with Blueyonder, but Virgin Media now has control.

Great to see you! We're bursting to tell you more on the latest.

The biggest Virgin company in the world is about to be born - and the best thing is, you'll be part of it! You may have a few more questions so here's where you can find out the lowdown.

Being a Virgin company, you can be sure we do things differently. We've always tried to treat our customers like individuals. That's why we've included a bit on this site that lets you tell us how you see the world click here.

Speaking of getting to know you better, we'd love you to join us for a drink. Richard and the team are throwing a fabulously glitzy party to celebrate the launch. For your chance to come along click here.

OK, that's it from us for now — check out the rest of the site. Whenever we have any news, we'll post it here and you can find out first.

This is very worrying news really as Richard Branson is someone who buys companies cheaply and after a quick image makeover and the use of the Virgin name stuck on the venture, he sells it off.

I hope the customers will watch him very carefully.

it's not branson in control, it's NTL, NTL bought telewest and virgin mobile and are just using the virgin brand name for marketing (they bought permission to use the brand names from branson)

the NTL name instantly makes people think of crap service perhaps? i know it does here... being a telewest customer who has had crap service ever since NTL took over
