Because, of course, there isn't a "refresh" button in "Networks".

that's because you are using a primary connection, you can't refresh that because there is no need to, and primary users refreshing would only serve to destabalise the network

...and that's quite a lot of windows you have open there

I think that there is a button to close a whois after you have browsed the user.... (an X at the top right corner

well I pointed this out because I know that Lovepeaceguru is been having some issues with WinMX Crashing and frankly this could be a BIG clue.. and its also a bit of a giggle..

Amusing that such a thread should devlopm from my screen shot. Simple explanation: I go through various rooms browsing all members. Those where I download I park on a spare area of my desktop so that I can go thriough tehm and re Q any that have dropped out. The only limitation to this is that you can squeeze the transfer windows down to just one line!!!!i

Try reducing the number of browses at one time and see if that helps with your crashing problem as well. Also don't know (seeing your screenshots, no chances lol) stay in fewer rooms just as an experiment and see if that helps.
just curious, when you have that many number of browses, you mind posting a picture of task manager as well? (with winmx as one of the items)

Someone, who shall remain nameless (but he probably rides a m/c with high handles like Dennis Hopper's) gave me an answer to my original question...............

Go to Networks page click on secondaryt, wait till light goes green, click on primary, wait till light goes green , refresh library, re-enter rooms.

Any comments?

Sometimes it kept my d/ls and u/ls, others it lost them, hell of a hassle re=entering all those rooms and havin to say "Hiya" again!!

Raised another Q though. What is happening when you browse yourself in a room and you come up with no files?

There are two 'Refresh' es, Your original question was a bit vague and the screen shot led me to believe you meant 'Network Refresh'

Back even to WinMX 3.53 you had to reenter rooms to get files to show up correctly however, on WinMX v3.54 you simply click refresh on the Library page and this information immediatly updates to the primary your on.

As a Secondary user, 3.53 wouldnt 'resend' your shared files list unless you got a 'new' primary connection, with the mass changes to the library function in 3.54 this was corrected also. Keep in mind this is regards to a secondary connection.

As a Primary you host your own shared files list, so would only need to click the 'refresh' on the Shared files or Library Page.

Some Primary users have problems with browsing themselves, this is usually down to a firewall or more likely a router/DSL modem blocking local conections and not alot you can to about it. If your on secondary and cant browse your self its the primary your on and Getting a new one by clicking the 'Refresh' button located on the 'Networks' Tab shold resolve it.

In the context of this post and thread yes.. staying primary is fine.. if you are looking to update your shares just use the Refresh button on the Library page .. .
