i've run into all kinds of great people on MX ,, dont get me wrong "but "those people who think that you dont have the right to d/l music from them and get put on ignore list, when you do search & their mp's keep coming up,,to top it off they curse you out for what the program is ment to do,, i think that there should be a complaint department for MX users to ban those with bad additudes ,, this is a great program and a few idiots are giving it such a bad rap ,, im ticked off and would like to see something done to prevent this problem from happening over N over again,, mx user beobee 746

yeah, there are too many people who seem to think that starting a dl from them is some sort of invasion or even worse a privilege, but since the system is decentralised, what can be done about it? I think we have to just use the tools what we have (MxMoni, Leechhammer etc) and live with the rest of it, it's the price we pay for having an open system, just like unfortunately we got to live with users who share kiddie porn or Nazi marching songs (yes, there are Nazi marching songs available through WinMx users!).

I have never had these problems when I log onto the OpenNap networks tho, so maybe you can find what you are looking for there? (try Rockmep2p for music esp). They're often oversubscribed though......

I was dl'g a hard to find file, Brother.Neo disconnected me and sent me a note telling me not to dl that again. I asked him what (I wasn't watching my dls) and he said anything ...

I asked why and he said it cost him a lot of money and he didn't share rare files unless the other person had rare files too. Asshat. The files I share are PRIMARLY rare or hard to find but I guess he didn't bother looking.

So then he starts to UL from me. I tell him, "It doesn't work that way." He changes his mind and says I can dl now then promptly logged off.

I threw him into my ignore list immediately.

I have tons of files to share but I only list about 2-300 at one time (I rotate frequently) -- if anyone asks me if I have something I'll immediately add it to my share file for them. Sharing with an asshat like Brother.Neo, though, does not give me warm fuzzies.

It would be waaaaaaay KEWL if you could just press CTRL+END[/color] to stop the control freaks.

Another Nazified control freak is guy by the name of "Chant" that also goes by "Enchanted". He is supposedly sharing spiritual/new age and healing files but he rarely shares. Total control freak hole of an ass.
