Author Topic: GOT WINMX TO WORK ON XP SVP2!!! THANK YOU!!! (Read 1404 times)

Like most of you who had/have problems getting connected with Windows XP SVP2, I did a system restore to September 18 (pre-shut down date) before installing the Patch and VOILA! Finally it's working. I don't know why it wasn't working before, but after trying all the patches on the web, this one (www.winmxworld.com) worked.
I right clicked on the link, saved it to WinMX and started WinMX. I hope this will help some of you who are as knowledgable as I am about computer stuff (meaning...not much!).

WHAT SHOULD THE NEW BANDWIDTH THROTTLE BE SET AT WITH DSL?

Leave your incoming and outgoing unticked at this time.

Set your allocated bandwidth to at least 9 or 10 Out.
Set your Duty Cycle to 40%

These are the best settings you can use right now to help the network..
