Missing Files Please Help...
« on: January 13, 2007, 01:38:44 am »
Can anyone advise on this... I had a large number of part downloaded files in my file download location. Now  most of them  have vanished from the face of the earth only about 5% of them left mixed audio and vid files some complete some part complete???? Could it be a virus?

Any help would be great..

jezter.

Just go to the transfer window and press "load incompletes".
The default setting clears them after a while which can be changed in Settings > File transfers.
Just untick those you don't want to be cleared and they'll stay permanently :-)

Also note hat if you have more than 50 incompletes in winmx, it will automaticially remove some of them when you start winmx the next time....
You can reload them as nylly has said by clicking on "load Incompletes".
But don't forget to set the auto find sources and autoenter queue settings :)

Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)

Thanks for the help however I don't think it is as simple as that? I have tried what you have outlined but no joy?. I have looked in the downloads folder on my harddrive and they are missing from there. I ran a search using windows search using the words "incomplete" and it only found the same 11 files that are within the WinMx transfer frame????

Regards.
