You've been a great help getting me started, helping me get past the filewall and also the outgoing tcp connection udp port for incoming and outgoing packet problem but now that I'm trying to dowm load from other indivuduals I keep getting connection timed out and so do they.  And that makes for unfriendly trading if you know what I mean  :P .Being a real novice at computers you have been very helpful in the past and I appreciate it.  I loved your program when I used it before upgraded to Win mx  But I'm afraid Win MX has reallydone a number on a lot of programs NOT your fault but theirs.   They now how to mess up some good things out there.  My humble unprofessional opnion

It sounds to me like there's still some issue either with your firewall or port forwarding, i suggest dropping into the help chatroom

I checked the firewall and did it as per WinMx requirements but it still times outs both uploads and downloads.  Is there any other lace I can reference for help in this area?  Or anyone else experienceing this problem before.  I used this program years ago and didn't have this problem, thats why I really liked it.

Some anti virus software can also prevent winmx working correctly, if you have Norton 2005 or 2006 a visit to the tutorials section will tell you how to set that up..

I still think a visit to the chatroom would be in order as we can ask questions & get answers in realtime, no uploads is positively either some software blocking the port (firewalls norton worm protection etc.) or an error in port forwarding, while forwarding is simple, there are a number of steps, at any of which it's possible to make a simple typo... also it's quite common for people to skip the advice at portforward.com telling them to set a static ip, & have port forwarding fail because they were assigned a new local ip.

Finally in rare cases the router ALSO has a firewall in which ports must be allowed, although this is usually covered, if you use portforward for instructions, rather than just logging in & clicking around.
