According to the MPAA, Canada has been a mecca for illegal camcorders who last year accounted for some 20%-25% of all bootlegged Hollywood movies appearing online or on DVD. Org, which has lobbied Canadian officials for tougher antipiracy laws, expressed disappointment when the U.S. trade representative office recently released its list of "priority watch" countries for piracy and Canada was not on it.

I believe that the sanctions Canada has are already sound and reasonable in dealing with those who camcord movies for distribution, this announcement of impending further legislation seems more like another method of abusing the legal system, those accused under any new law are likely are likely to to have their names published regardless of whether they are found guilty and the MPAA sponsored legal machine wins the propaganda victory, we have seen this before in other cases where the MPAA and its ilk condemn those accused without even waiting to hear any courts verdict on the facts of the case, with parasites like this operating a global monopoly, is it fair and just to allow the introduction of a new law that allows them to make more pre-judgement false claims as they do in the US ?
