Hello I'm kind of new, to the forum anyway. I don't know whether I'm having connection problems or program problems?? Here's what's happened so far; I used to run winmx over DSL and it ran GREAT!
I stopped for a while, moved , computerless for a while {PC was in storage} ...etc.
Got same PC back everything runs great, except Winmx. I'm on cable with speeds up to 500 kbps.
Just to let you know I also run Limewire and have had absolutely no problems there. Everytime i start up Winmx it runs choppy and slow and slows my system down. I'm running WinME, but like I said when it's {WinMx} not running everything flows smoothly. Heads up; I already unistalled and downloaded the latest version from this site. I usually keep up with patches and stuff, but could I have missed one and if I downloaded the latest version from here is that patch included?

Go to www.winmxgroup.com and download the patch from there. That is the correct version of the patch which needs to be used.

Make sure winmx is allowed on the firewall and check if you have forwarded ports properly.

Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)

I would also suggest you try running in Secondary on WinMX and see if this runs more smoothly for you too...
