Forced to ReInstall WINMX

 :?Had a power failure in Vista Home last night. When I rebooted and tried to restart WINMX, I was forced into the reinstall procedure (would not start otherwise). I finally gave up and reinstalled, which worked, except I had to change all the settings to my liking. What happened? And how can I avoid this in the future?

it happens with a "non-normal" shutdown of WinMX, suggest you copy your winmx folder to a "back-up folder" then you can copy it back to the original if it happens again, so you keep your settings etc.

Is there any particular file/folder to copy, or do I need to copy everything? Thanks.

the main files would be 'Settings.dat' = your settings file and your 'lib4.dat' or 'library.dat' = shared files information.  But its not a bad idea to copy the entire thing either as its not large..
