info: windows xp/only able to run secondary/winmx 3.54 beta

please help. i've been sitting infront of my computer for the past two days trying to get this to work. here's what i've done so far:

1. flush dns

2. d/l new patch (ws2_32.dll)

3. d/l patch for secondary (olepro32.dll)

4. change host file (something i read on a japanese winmx community)

winmx was running fine until about two days ago, when I suddenly got disconnected from everything i was downloading. now, the damn yellow box just keeps blinking for hours on end. sometimes, that message about replacing host files comes up (n' i've tried clicking yes and no) but now the message doesn't even come up. restarting, reinstalling, !@#@%$^@@$!$!!!!!!

3) remove that patch, it has been reported to conflict

and as for the yes/no message, once you click yes it shouldn't come up again anyway :-P
