poor advice being given in winmxworld help room
« on: July 25, 2007, 10:49:46 pm »
it would seem certain people  aka micromecca is continually giveing bad advice and poor settings on users network connections....
be advised not to take any advice from micromecca as he hasnt the fainstast idea what hes talking about.....
i have seen him now screw over at least four users connections with pathetically bad advice and poor settings making these users connections fail.........
he clearly knows nothing about networking and even worse bans people from winmxworld who do know about networking and try to fix the mess he creates.............
so he bans people because he doesnt want to look bad..........
micrmecca stop screwing users connections over you know nothing about networking or how to set dns up correctly........
THE PROOF IS IN THE TRAIL OF USERS BROKEN CONNECTIONS.................
mcscruff  do as i susgest and ring your isp and get there primary and secondry dns server ips it wil fix your connection..........
and dont listern to another piece of bad advice from mecca or do you like your connection broken.............
oh mecca btw the way dont even bother removeing or banning this post or il spam this site till it falls over.............
just accept you dont know anything about networking and stop trying to cover up the mess you create by banning people who are trying to fix the mess you are creating..........................

You can make these ridiculous claims and f and blind in the room till your blue in the face, it really makes no difference to me, I have no intention of banning you from the forum whatsoever, the reason I kicked you from the room was the same reason I would have done with anybody else carrying out that behaviour, your foul language!

Now lets set something straight her regarding DNS, which ultimately is what this issue is all about.
You stated yourself:
Quote
<IceDragon 000 584_41868> i see what hes done there hes not wrong  but if you use your isp's pri and sec dns servers ips it works much better
This ultimately depends on if and how the specific router handles DNS requests, in this case the router in question hands over its Ip address as the one and only DNS required in a local DHCP lease, so considering it was functioning perfectly fine with that as the sole DNS server, how is it wrong to add that manually, please tell !!!!

Cheers for making me eat a cold meal Bug as I had to clean up the mess you created by spamming the site, was there a problem with either contacing me on MSN or just making a single post ?

Dont bother answering that I know your probably too angry to think straight atm, I,m just disappointed you didnt use the channels open to you of all people to get this matter settled amicably rather than flying off the handle.

Be you right or wrong in what your saying, spamming the site is not the answer.  :(

I am glad to see some of you find this amusing..............
I have not ever really spoken to bughunter but i do know he has been around a hell of a long time, and where as i might not always agree with all he posts in the same breath i would not slate a post of his or ban him from winmxworld help room
hell come to think of it i wouldnt ban any loyal member of winmxworld help room (and we know who they are)
Where as it isnt right to flood a forum and bug i know you know there where other ways you could of dealt with this i also need to add this
MircoMecca i dont see as you have any right what so ever to ban a loyal member and user of winmxworld for any reason
As  Ghost states to bughunter that he could of contacted himself or Me_here about this so could of you.hell you could of even tried a simple P.M to bug to ask him to tone it down.
The only banning i see as right from winmxworld is if the like of a pie team member comes into the room trying to cause trouble and even then there given a chance to have there say first.
I feel its starting to look like theres some users within the Winmxworld room who are feeling as if they are more in charge then others,
Sadly to say if this proves to be the case then i will reconsider my postion within the winmxworld room for myself.
Ghost and Me_here i hold you both with the higest respect and i feel its time either of you addressed this silly issues that are arising out of nothing.it needs to be stopped or the room will suffer in the end.
I know for a fact that if i felt someone needed kicking from the room i would still try to contact either of you first and i been a admin in your room for 2 years now...this is what i call respect and i think its time a few others took a lil more notice to.

And FYI i believe you have no right to do this to any loyal member of Winmxworld chat room
There are other ways to deal with this and i still STRONGLY believe that to remove a loyal member you need to confirm it with Ghost or Me Here first
What if he had come back into the room in a even worse mood because you removed him?

Mac I completely appreciate your words and offer a few of my own.

You weren't in the room at the time this took place.  Micro didn't do anything I wouldn't have done.  He asked Ice in Op message I might add to calm down and stop calling names and cursing, which is more then I can say for Ice, his abusive comments where in the open.  All the admins know to contact my self or Ghost  when there is an issue in the room and he dealt with it the best he could at the time considering we were unavailable.

That's all I'm really willing to say in a public forum Mac except that I don't care who you are.. or how loyal you are or how long you have been around, its completely uncalled for and shocking to find that someone has spammed the same message 30+ times on a board because they are upset.  That's not loyalty, its not reasonable and its not right.. This isn't the first time Ice has been kicked from the room either and he didn't see a need to do damage to the site.

any further questions from room admins you can contact me on MSN as I'll not make further comments because this man does deserve a bit of respect.

I hope this clarifies that we were informed that we did agree and Im locking this thread.. enough already.. see previous comment if any one feels a need to discuss it further.

If this is the case i will retract my statement
I just wish things could be dealt with on a different level
We all know bughunter is a loose cannon and to be honest take most of what he says within that context
As i did say i dont feel what bug did is right either and MicroMecca i will of my words of sorry to you
I dont like to see things dealt with in this manner and never will.
But for me this is now the end of what i need to say on the matter.
