file user unavailable messages not going through only users with garbage files getting through file lists not loading. all of it seems very selective. like i said only users with few or crappy files are able to get through. i checked with other users that i've been sharing with so i know it's not our fault. does someone monitor the system and cop attitudes toward certain users? because it seems to be done deliberately and selectively.

my queue lists keep disappearing too. i'll look down and the users in my queue will start disappearing one by one. this also seems deliberate. it's embarrasing when another user starts me and i can't start him because his request has disappeared from my queue

It is probably ppl going ofline etc as you say you have checked with other users you have been shareing with so it must be working ok if you can connect and share and d/load from them
could it be that you are using tags and ppl are ignoring you ?
how many upload slots do you have open to others?  as some ppl will ignore others with just one or two slots etc

you have to remember one mans trash is anothers treasure (so could it possibly be that you are being a little overcritical of ppls files as myself and thousands of others have no problems getting the files we want)
what type of files are you looking for and are you using the search facilitys properly(not meaning to be critical but a lot of ppl have only a limited knowledge of how to find the files they want) some not even realising that your search can be refined to suit the files you may be after

just the users i'm trying to trade with the leeches connect just fine. i'm using monitor too just to let you know

have you tried using winmx without it ? as i have found using this tends to hamper more than help also if not set up correctly this will also cause you problems
Another problem could possibly be your isp as depending who you are with things can get a little tempremental at times ....by the sound of your problems i suspect this to be the case either this or a router/modem problem

The only ppl that can moniter and cop attitude toward you are the ppl you are trying to download from or are d/loading from yourself nothing is done deliberatly or selectivly unless ppl usualy have a reason for doing so
Are you shareing several files or just a few?
Are the files you share rare or uncommon that ppl probably wont take an interest in?
I find that shareing a few popular files e.g a latest album /movie etc and most ppl are willing to trade if you have got perhaps some of these files i can see no reason for ppl selectivly cutting you off or ignoring you unless you are perhaps msging them in a less than friendly way
please dont take offence to the statements/questions above i am just trying to explore every avenue to try to get you up and running efficiently

i tried to see if there was a pattern but there is none, it happens whether i just login or have been on for a while. the folks i am trading with get along with me fine, in fact it wouldn't help their cause much to cut me off seeing they're getting from me as welll. like i said i have confirmed on many occaisons that it wasn't them -that is when i can finally get a message through-. i've had many users tell me it is probably the mods causing the problems; that's where i got the interference theory from. the problems started after i logged in the one day and winmx reinstalled itself for some odd reason. the monitor itself has been more of a help in finding and securing files, i swear by it. the users that i've been having connection problems with are other monis though, i favor them because they don't queue and run like a lot of non monitor or autoresponder clients. maybe it's the monitors but overall the monitor has helped mor than hurt -especially at keeping users at bay-. there may be a trolling issue because when i'm having these problems, the finding new sources -which often slows speed to almost nothing- starts picking up users in neighboring or same files with hundreds and even thousands in their queues. i've done file checks on these characters and found that they have every file known to winmx in their lists. I found out from a fellow trader that they use ftp in their network neighborhood to make it appear that they have files that they actually don't. anyway the finding sources are often loading a bunch of these users into other files when this happens. ALLUNEEDISHERE, Krusty@... are a couple examples of these users; they never share and they fill every file in my waiting list. hope this helps
