Allot of romours flying around but no one is confirming that theres going to be at some point a new patch release even suggestions that mxpie is being phased out can someone clarify and maybe outline what a new patch may involve plz ?

As far as i am aware, there is a new patch currently being worked on, deemed "the community" patch, it is hoped it will be abopted by WmW to replace KM's old patch, and adopted by Mxpie to replace the auto patch, bringing the two teams into some alignment, this however does not include the mxpie.info team, they have refused to discuss the matter. I will stress however the patch is NOT finished yet, NO release date is in place and NO final plans for its form (open source or not) has been decided as yet.

So its a joint effort by winmxworld and mxpie.com aka vllads team for a patch, and what kind of features are being suggested please ?

No, its not really an official joint effort by teams, its simply some users who happen to be WmW and Pie supporters working together. The patch is aimed to have built in blocking and fake file filtering.

the new patch will perform much the same as the current ones do..............
only difference is instead of it being programmed by one its a joint effort .............
and it may or may not be open source............
community has often asked for co-operation and now it has got it.............
it is in winmx,s best interests that we put our personnal and/or political differences aside and do whats right for a change.............
hopefully this is a start for a new and better direction for winmx and its users.............
and as for the cartel ..!.. its business as usuall..................

The new patch we are discussing in this thread is yet to be released. When it is available for download im sure the front page of this site and others I would imagine will have information and download links.
