MPAA Corrupt Practices Come To Light

Folks its a bit hypocritical for an organisation such a the MPAA to complain about people stealing their "imtellectual propery" when they seem more than eager to steal themselves.

A major online news outlet has finally picked up on highly questionable methods used by Hollywood’s “face of copyright enforcement,” as CNET recently christened the MPAA’s Dean Garfield.

While a U.S. District judge found that the Motion Picture Association of America had not violated the federal Wiretap Act, as TorrentSpy’s attorneys had argued, the MPAA acknowledged in court records that it paid $15,000 to obtain private e-mails belonging to TorrentSpy executives.

This revelation is nothing new to me having known about this case for some time now, what is of concern is the apparent propensity the industry employess have for targetting server operators or staff members to gain internal mail or private commercial information, even in some cases to have those folks upload ilicit material before a seizure is launched to generate evidence, material that would not otherwise exist.

If the industry cannot rise above corruption or employing corrupt practices then who can trust them or believe their claims ?

I didnt know that they could ever be belived or trusted. As mentioned in another topic everything they do is underhand, punishing the young and vunerable is all they are good at.
