Cannot Connect, Possibly Bad File

Hello, I cannot Connect to Winmx. I think i have a badfile. I was currently running the 3.54 Beta 4, Before Winmx announced on their site they were going to shut down. Now i can not connect nor find a way to connect.
I was shown on another post to post info on the topics.. so ill just copy and paste.
- Operating system            WinXP
- Internet connection type        DSL
- WinMX Version                   WinMX v3.54 Beta 4
- Secondary or primary user    Secondary
- What make of firewall you have   Basic Windows and Symantic
- Router brand and model             Netgear
- Any WinMX add-ons installed      None

So please by chance can i get any light on the situation. :)

Hi Skarv,

Welcome to the site.  First thing Im going to suggest is that you make sure you have an up to date patch from here:

https://patch.winmxconex.com/

The first file there for download is a Set Up For Existing Installs, that should do for you nicely.  Secondly I would suggest that you remove WinMX from the firewall rules you have for XP and Symantic, frankly if the Symantac has a fiewall i wouldnt use both but thats just me, be sure that WinMX is not listed in the allowed programs or the exceptions and then restart after install.. let the firewall(s) ask you to allow it again.
