connected now its gone

I was so thankful to find that you brill guys had patched winmx i d/loaded it straight way. managed with the great intstructions to install it & the green light flashed on to my winmx. Great stuff. Went to find a file i've been trying to get for wks. Worked np. Then disaster. I disconnected & can't get it to connect again. My yellow light is blinking wickedly.
Any help would be gratefully recieved.

It is now showing that 2 peer cachces are completely offline.  And I've not been able to connect at all tonight though last 2 days were pretty good.  Being a 98/ME user I have to rely on the hosts file patch and I guess there's probably no way of choosing which peer cache I'm connecting to?

Could also be the patches are a temp fix and "they" could find a way of blocking this too.

I've now managed a primary connection but can't d/load. I've tried the router site but i'm in cyprus & can't find eci listed. If anyone has any info that could help i'd be grateful.
I find lots of sources but the d/load doesn't start. Haven't had an upload connection yet so can't say if i can upload

Cpygirl can you explain to me where you saw the need for a 'eci' or what that pertains to..
If you look at our Router section in the tutorials, especially the one 'What you need to know to forward your ports'  all the info to set a router ..

read through all of the routers info & followed instructions. told me to go to port forward & find the router i'm using. my router is an eci make & its not on the list.

have improvement though. i made a primary connection & people are now uploading but all i'm getting is finding resources on the d/loading

sorry if i'm being a pain. guess being in cyprus doesn't help
