i'm using win ms on win xp pro sp 2. i have  2 problems:

1. all my up;loads are REALLY FAST. my downloads are REALLY show.

2. when i use win mx it slows down my email and web browser (using up too much bandwidth?)

click on the link below it will test your pc and give you a sugested bandwidth setting & tell you how to set them up

i dont know why ppl get arrested for file sharing.. ya cant download anything. i've tried emule, shareeaza and now win mx, none of these programs work.

have you tried any of these numbers? ..... if so was there any change?
as for not being able to download thousands upon thousands on winmx have no problems myself included its just a matter of getting set up correctly

why is it so difficult to set up. why cant software just work.

As it says on the page i sent you to

"If you look at the top of WinMX you will see a button labeled "Settings" - When you click that the WinMX settings window will open.
First select "Bandwidth Throttle" on the left, then it will switch to the Bandwidth Throttle page shown above. Make sure the first tick box is left unticked, and tick the second tick box. Then enter 30000 in to the box next to it.
Click "Close" to close the Settings window... ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!
If you find these settings dont work for you, then try setting it to 28000 and see if it improves it, however if it doesn't then dont forget to change it back."


The numbers used here are an example but adjusting them will give you best performance in your case whatever its set to needs to be reduced  to slow the uploads which in turn should speed up your downloads

Close all internet b/w using applications and then try the test again
The values should be steady when tried in proper conditions
