My what a suprise, after knowing full well they where over charging UK folks Apple decide to step into line with EU requirments or face a penalty.

Apple said that within six months it will charge U.K. consumers the same for downloads from iTunes as customers in the 15 countries using the euro. The current price in the U.K. is 79 pence ($1.55) compared with 99 cents ($1.45) in the euro area.
The European Commission, in its first case involving online music sales, said it's not a price regulator and won't set a level for Apple's U.K. downloads. Cupertino, California-based Apple has sold more than 3 billion songs since starting iTunes in 2003, making it the most popular legal site for music downloads.
"This is an important step towards a pan-European marketplace for music,'' Apple Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs said in a statement today. ``We hope every major record label will take a pan-European view of pricing.''
The Brussels-based commission, the EU's antitrust regulator, said last April that Apple and the world's four largest music companies illegally restrict where iTunes users can buy songs by setting higher prices in some countries. The company could have been fined up to 10 percent of annual sales for an antitrust violation.
No chance of a refund then for customers already ripped-off by this blatanty illegal practice, how did I guess :roll:
This has at least clarified that the Cartel and Apple where working against UK consumer illegally and that's something I for one wont be letting them forget
