Yes folks, the same ppl who take 90% of the profit from recorded music stand accused of stealing the artists 10%.

When record labels calculate royalties, recording artists generally have to take them at their word, unless they want to sue or otherwise force an auditing of the system.  A few musical legends and their estates allege that Universal Music Group has been bilking them out of royalties since 1998 or earlier.

Patti Page, the estates of Count Basie, Les Brown, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, the Mills Brothers, and Sarah Vaughn, and possibly other artists claim the major label "pervasively and systematically breached" agreements by using accounting tricks.  They claim they're owed $6.07 million plus attorney's fees and damages.

What a low trick this is to steal from artists or their relatives after being rewarded for their investment many times over during an artists career, Universal should be ashamed of themselves  :x
