Any news on Kevin Hearn? whatever happened to him
« on: March 06, 2008, 06:56:12 am »
I just wondered what ever happened to Kevin Hearn(Frontcode Technologies), is he even alive?. With out him there probably wouldnt even be a WinMx or at least not as we know it. He still live in Windsor, Ontario Canada?. Its like he just disappeared off planet earth  :?

So any recent news of him would be interesting. Is his company still a registered company in Canada or did that close down?

Maybe hes even a 'secret member' of winmx world  :D. So if you are here Kev let us know whats up lol

No one to our knowledge has ever been able to contact him Sophie, and I,m aware of many who have tried to track him down.
Whilst we do know roughly where to find him in Canada, he did actually transfer the company winmx technologies (after changing it from frontcode technologies) to the island of Vanuta, sadly nothing more was heard of him after that move.

On the positive front we have been studying WinMX for some time now and I can confidently say we know most of the softwares secrets although one or two points could do with clearing up , so there is the potential for a new non official client in the future if someone has the time to do the coding.

There is one more interesting item of news, the web domains used to operate the official winmx are renewed periodicly so as to stop them falling into the hands of scammers, this is a source of pleasure for us here and we like to think that by taking this action kevin is giving our community the thumbs up by ensuring winmx users are not parted with their money as has happened with the fake shareaza site shareaza.com that recently fell into a scam operators hands.

I am aware of at least 1 prominant user that claims to have had both indirect and direct contact with Kevin.

Well I cant for the life of me think who the contacted person is as no one to this day has made this claim publicly, I suspect its just someone trying to use kevins name to make themselves sound important.
Regardless, I,m sure if kevin wanted to make himself known he knows where to post

I am sure that I will be able to confirm or deny if anyone claiming to be kevin is genuine or not by their answers to three questions that only he would know the answer to off the top of his head, of course I,ll be keeping these questions secret.
