I love a good rant folks, take it away Jon : )

Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG and their RIAA, CRIA, ARIA, JRIA, etc, etc, are suffering under the delusion they can treat us —- their customers; the people who keep them in business, lest we forget —- like crap.

For the past five years The Big 4 have been calling us criminals and thieves, trying to sue us into buying their low-quality, high-priced ‘product’.
They’ve been pumping out BS PR and most members of the mainstream media have been regurgitating the Big Music lies and disinformation as though it’s reliable and accurate material.
The RIAA is universally loathed and detested and the people who work for it and keep it afloat are regarded as the lowest of the low.

Before the Net, the entertainment cartels who own, or are directly or indirectly associated with, most major print and electronic media outlets, controlled what people saw and heard.
But in this 21st digital century, thanks to blogs, web sites, IM, chats, texting, and so on, people around the world are talking to each other direct every minute of every hour of every day, completely by-passing the corporate media.

This in turn means for the first time in history, accurate news and information is consistently and constantly reaching us all.

As Jon enthusiastically points out we are almost daily treated to some sort of recording/movie industry propaganda, this is purely because they own many of the larger web prescence's such as news organisations and social networking sites that offer them a platform to reach a wide swathe of web surfers, does this mean we should do as we are told by them and roll over because their voice is often louder than ours or worse parroted by the print media in newspapers also owned by the big media groups ?

I like to think not, and that even the smallest person can be heard online and make a difference, if enough of us keep this same ethos in mind when reading industry propaganda and decided to counter their fake news with real facts they are perhaps merely flea bites on the back of a dog, but of course given enough "bites" the dog soon becomes aware it is no longer comfortable to carry on as normal and action is forced upon it, lets hope the fleas win the hearts and minds battle we are facing.
