http://www.zeropaid.com/news/9529/Bell+-+We+Are+Transparent+to+Our+Customers%2C+CIPPIC+-+Do+TellStarting at about 26:10 of the uncut interview, Bibico says that Bell Canada was transparent about its throttling practices and notified customers through their website on what they are doing with respect to traffic shaping. We spoke with an intern for CIPPIC, Robert Hester about this. "they said they'd been clear with customers about shaping and there was an explanation on the website."
Seems bell have been caught out, They lied claiming that they had made thier throttling policy public on thier site and when eventually someone decided to go look
CIPPIC (Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic) spokeperson: "I looked through their site, and could only find a small, vague blurb."
After bringing this too thier attention sudenly he is forwarded to a susposed public page that doesnt finite any of the details about throttling, if you ask me these guys are really wriggling on the end of the hook, I will really be watching this with a close eye, as im sure many other isp's are around the globe. I hope the are found to be conducting illegal pratices and it sets a president for the rest of the world.
