New Vista, can't get a green lite

Help, I have been on winmx for years, and  been shut down with all the many troubles we have had, but this is new and things are not getting earier for me, either. The new puter has the equipment to get the job done. I already have a perm connection Comcast, with a modem box. My internet and email is working, just not Winmx. I d/l a patch, I thot the newest, the one recomened. please help

Did you download the patch from here:

 https://patch.winmxconex.com/

If so, I would make sure the tcp ports and Udp ports are in the same in the router and winmx. To do this through you router go to:

Also check the vista firewall and make sure the winmx is allowed through that.
