Hi birdman

Try chatpcs.winmxconex.net

Let me know if it quicker connecting .

It dont connect with that address tig sorry. I have in my mettis a list of caches from this site it does connect eventually but takes a long time i guess it works down the list which is around 30 long i guess some of them may not be working thats why i wondered if there was a more up to date list

first i'd recommend clearing out whatever is listed

then looking at the tutorial on here it seems the recommended entries are
bot0.winmxcache.net
&
bot1.winmxcache.net

these hostnames return cache addresses, from suitable caches to connect robo

in addition you might want to add

cache.taboochat.net

as well as the 2 above i wouldn't recommend relying on that last one totally as it runs on a home internet connection

i merely quoted the tutorial for entering caches elsewhere on site, certainly that list is valid caches.. it's the list winmx itself uses, but not all caches suit robomx as well as some others (the main mxstuff indexing cache for example is almost useless for third party clients) ...

the ones i gave above have been picked out as being suitable types

try adding

chatpcs.winmxconex.net  as tig suggested is likely to be suitable (or wouldn't have been cited)

and

cache.taboochat.net

as well

you actually don't need a huge list of 30 hostnames as those ones all resolve to the same 4 or 5 caches anyhow & robo will connect the first time it gets a response it can use

robo was never exactly ligtening fast connecting & without being political.. the situation has worsened with the new wpn, as now not all primaries are suitable for it to connect through, so it sometimes needs to try several before it hits a useable one
