Ok, a few will have seen that there has been a alternative patch installer up for testing in the mod section, recently the person who created the patch installers(merlin) declared we must stop using his patch installer's. Although this hasnt been enforced yet we took it upon ourselves to remedy this situation as quickly as possible, ie by creating new installers. And well after alot of hard work they are now at the RC1 stage, or release candidate 1. We have tested these as much as we can with a select number of computers but now we would like to test them on a more diverce group before we update the patch page to reflect these new installers. So i will post them for you to try out now and if you can id like you let me know any issues. ive tested these as much as i can and they work fine. The only real thing id like a few confirmations on is windows 9x versions.
So whats this installer do:
1. Removes Pie if it is detected
2. Warns about PG2 being terrible if its running
3. Installs winmx to what ever directory you choose
4. Installer supports many languages
5. Works on windows 95-98
and just incase you didnt read what is above and decide this is a new patch
THIS IS NOT A NEW PATCH
Its a installer, dont go mad downloading this it will make no diffrence if you are already set up.
