Can't play incomplete videos

Hello,

I had to format my computer this weekend due to a virus that wouldn't go away. Prior to doing this, I could play incomplete videos that I downloaded on WinMX.  Now, when I try to play an incomplete video on windows media player I get an error that the file cannot be played. I also tried it on winamp and I don't get an error, but it doesn't play the incomplete video. I downloaded the DivX codec pack and same problem. Any ideas on what I can try?

follow the link below and get yourself vlc player should do the trick

I would recomend getting k-lite codecs pack avalable from the link below and installing as i have never had problems after installing this.
