It seems Justice takes its time when there is no evidence and police corruption to throw into the mix.
http://www.slyck.com/story1753_Further_Trial_Delays_for_The_Pirate_BayThe Pirate Bay is looking at a significant damage claim from the entertainment industry, primarily from the MPA (Motion Picture Association) and the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). Total damages sought by the plaintiffs are ~$2.5 million from the IFPI, ~$15 million from the MPA, and ~$185,000 from the Swedish government. Whether or not that will happen remains unclear, as the much anticipated trial has yet to start, and according to The Local, has been delayed once again.
There is a small interview with Peter Sunde by Slycks Thomas Mennecke to read through in this article and it looks like a long wait is to be expected before the real trail date is set.
A suspicious man would ask perhaps is the Swedish government trying to stall the case to bring in new laws before the case comes to trail ?
The answer is no one knows but when your talking big money like this a few greased palms is mere chicken feed and this method is a useful underhand trick used by governments the world over.
