WINMX MUST CLOSE ERROR AND CONNECTING RECONNECTING

ERROR:  WINMX HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. AND WINMX IS DICONNECTING AND RECONNECTION ITSELF.

I get this error after winmx is up and running for a while.

 Winmx is also stopping and starting the connection.  I look at the progress downloads and one time I look it has been on !hr plus and then I check it again and it has only been running for 2 minutes.

Please help.

Operating system                 Windows /XP
- Internet connection type        DSL
- WinMX Version                    3.35
- Secondary or primary user   have tried both
- What make of firewall you have windows firewall
- Router brand and model
- Any WinMX add-ons installed      patch and peer guardian

I would make sure you dont have any spyware or adaware that might be interfering with the connections.

Also make sure that NONE of the files you have that are incomplete are partials of fakes... when these auto find sources they crach MX and even sometimes the PC... if your unsure best is to delete any incompletes you dont have at least 10% of...

Give these a try and let me know if it helps...

Thank you.  I did what you suggested and it seems that it was one incomplete file.  Everytime the file was trying to find a source then winmx would close.

Humm.. normally I would delete this.. as we are a WinMX Help site..

But quite frankly.. all I can say is I hear what your saying...

I felt the same way.. took me a few months .. but i did it...

Grab ya a seat in some of the great Chat rooms if you dont already.. great folks then when you DO LEAVE .. one day.. youll already have friends here like I did..
