With winmx.com going off line now, the parts of WinMX tha tused to populate from their sit eare a concern to me now. I still use 2.6 because I only connect to private servers. WEith these still trying to load, that is a port 80 request going right to their server and traceable through IIS, Linux and various logs.
Any way to remove the call out? I have tried editing the exe with hex editor but there s a self healing feature in the exe that stops it from running after edit.
Any ideas??
