this thing bases its 'price' on the statistics gathered by the alexa spyware... er.. plugin... that comes with IE... so basically if you've run spybot SnD or installed a virus scanner youve killed alexa or even if you use a different browser youve rendered it moot.... meaning alexa stats are basically useless... but some still make use of them for some reason...

if less people are using it that would mean the statistics are an understatement. so the value would be higher

it wouldnt be higher it would be scewed...

example: the w3.org shows firefox as having equal or more of a userbase than IE... but its mostly standard compliance nuts who go there and would be using FF or a browser with similar standards complicance anyway... so alexa would show it as being visited less than say... microsoft.com when both may receive the same amount of traffic... just from different types of users...

speaking of which i wouldnt mind knowing the browser stats for -this- site...

alexa is IE only so there is no way to 'fix' the statistics... unless you want the web to be mshtml instead of html...
