Trouble tethering with Blackberry

I'm tethering with a blackberry on windows xp and uploads and downloads time out "waiting for incoming connection". Works fine on my dsl on the same computer. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?   --HiggsBosun

ah well.
the phone and servic eprovider are most likely blocking ports.
i suggest you follow a router guide to see if the blackberry can be configured otherwise consult your service provider.
