D/L Time

My question is, why do some D/L's take a lot longer than others. Some of my D/L's are quite quick & some seem to take forever, even though they are near enough the same size. Also, I have a D/L going at the moment that was remotely queued, then got to 12% D/L and has now gone back to remotely queued. Appreciated any ideas please. Thanks.

some dl's take longer than others depending on connection speed of the person your dling off. For instance it may say dsl or cable connection for the other person but they may be on the low rate (cheapest) pipeline lol.
They could even be 56k users.

As for the getting to 12% then back in remote queue. if you are entering a different remote queue then chances are that the person you connected to only had 12% of that file and when that 12% was reached you entered another queue of somebody with a larger filesize of the same name and so on until FINALLY its complete. On the otherhand if you are re-entering the same persons queue for the same file then the only thing i can think of is the person is knocking you off the dl and you are reconnecting as fresh (hence remote queue) if this is the case i wouldsend a private mesage to the person asking why. chances are you wont get an answer.

Sometimes, download from people with good connection still take longer thant it should because that person let many people download from him (or her) at the same time and his upload bandwidth is shared...

Me, i have limited upload amount per month so i dont let more than one upload at a time.  But my Moni will auto-upload small files (like wallpapers).
