Steve ought to stop listening to people who don't know what they're talking about. He ought to also not associate banning file sharing with a healthy digital economy; it would have quite the reverse effect, I'd say. I have yet to hear from Steve how he plans to differentiate between 'illegal' file sharing and legal file sharing. To Steve, all file sharing is illegal by definition, even though I have thousands of public domain or owner-permitted files that say otherwise.
I presume the 'Content Industry' means the Cartel. They don't invest; they take from the artists and from the ordinary punters, making you pay repeatedly in every possible way they can think of. It's not file sharing Steve-boy needs to regulate, but the Cartel, who are the real thieves. Just because the law protects a thief doesn't make him any less a thief.
