Problem: Leechammer Says WinMx is not Running - Can Anyone Help ?

I recently upgraded to a new PC with Windows Vista.  Installed WinMx 3.54 Beta 4 and Leechammer 1.2 from the WInMx World download links.  When I start Leechammer, it says WinMx is not running - even though it is and is functioning.  Also, the "MX" and "Check now" buttons are greyed out.  I have tried numerous solutions posted elsewhere in these forums, including re-installing, re-configuring Leechammer settings, etc., and nothing works.  I had no problems with these versions of WinMx & Leechammer when I was running WIndows XP.  Can anyone help with a solution?  I guess MXMonitor is an option, but I had tried that in the past and never liked it as well as Leechammer.  Thanx!

Leechammer and MxMonitor have not been updated in a couple years. I have not been able to get them to work on my Vista machine either.

right click on leechhammer, choose properties, click on compatability and tick the box run as administrator. Click ok and then run leechhammer. It should make the UAC pop up and ask you to say yes to running this programme. Click yes and bobs your uncle it should be working.
