And I suppose investment capital had nothing to do with it eh Josh ?
Most of the folks here have excellent ideas at one time or another but monetising the ideas is another matter, that's why having long terms on things like copyrights and patents is a obscene and anti social thing, in nearly all cases the invention is built upon a previous invention with a small twist to obtain yet another patent, often the test as to whether something is obvious or not (and thus unpatentable) is not even carried out as otherwise we wouldn't see so many childish patent claims being put forward for what are things that are just minor variations on things we humans have been enjoying for often a long time and in most cases way before any patent was granted.
As for copyright how many times have you heard a tune that has backing beats or tunes that are from another record or sound identical, does anyone really believe that only one person in the whole of humanity's time here could have made that particular melody or beat and thus "own it"
The system is flawed and biased against those who have no capital, that's the real lesson here as even if you had the greatest idea in the world be sure your not alone in that and be also sure you,ll never see it come to fruit because you wont have the finances for making it happen.
