Wow great entries this year guys

I would have liked to see a few more folks giving it ago but them that did enter have done really well.
Ok so here it goes

Forested665: I really liked the original idea you had that you turned into the avatar, too bad that didn't work out for a logo, but its a nice avatar none the less.  Your first official entry was also very nice
Ghostship's entries are all very original as well, the santa I understand was hand done with fuzzy ball brush, so for drawing him freehand with a mouse, well done
Bluey had a super idea there with the kangaroo's as reindeer and I really liked this one as well.
Tig I know you threw yours up as an example of how simple it is to give this a go and make one, but still well done on the idea.
Nylly I know you hardly ever do this type of thing but your logo was very nice as well, nice clean and the little hat is very cute.

In the end I picked one that I liked the best and thought would look good on the bar at the top and match in with the rest of the site, I choose... *Drum roll please*

Just a lil FYI, guys, the 6 white roos are 'Boomers' that take over and give the reindeer a spell while santa does his Australian run, under our blazing sun...

I took the liberty to make the logo background transparent instead of black so it integrates perfectly with the top bar - especially the snowy one I might implement with the forum x-mas theme.

I hope that's ok, ghosthip?

Erm that dont seem to be the case here on internet explorer 6 that I still use, I,m told its fine on other browsers however.

probably just a matter of it being in your cache still.

I've added the snowy bar as well now, looks perfect with it IMO

Actually if I remember correctly IE has a problem with transparencies (oi what I wouldn't give for some standards and browsers) but in any case here is a screen shot of it on IE

If you need some help with it Nylly let me know as I think i have some backgrounds of just the bar we could probably put the winning logo transparency onto.

Works fine on Mozilla btw.


**Edit** attached the reworked logo if yall want to use it, just put it on the bar background as a transparency

and why did it work fine with the original logo, which also has a transparent background?

Or is that screwed as well and just nobody ever told me?

Changed the file type to gif now, which renders fine in IE6 with transparent background
