^ that fits in an oldschool gameboy... so its been done.... what gets me is the article says they are filing patents on this thing when tiny computers already commercialy exsist... granted not this small but i suspect they didnt include the power supply in that little box unlike the 'competition' .....
...if this is real... im not impressed...
--edit--
..they dont seem to have a picture of the 'ports' side of the thing either..

You have to wonder how many add ons you have to plug together to make a decent pc. I notice they didn't exactly say that one unit will run as a stand alone computer.

I like the idea of small computers, ITX form factors and such. But this modular design isn't to my fancy. I like all the components together inside a single small case.

these days the power supply could be built in. Mains to diodes to high speed switching IC and a torid transformer. The faster the switching can happen, the smaller things can be built, as far as the 'transformer' is concerned. What used to weigh 10 pounds can now do the same job weighing far less than one ounce. Its relly quite kewl and or groovy to the max. (the PS technology lately) not that this uses it, I have no idea. Interesting thing is that it Could do that.
Prolly still way overpriced in any case.

I like the way that Google do the power supply on their servers they have a 99% efficient PSU that only gives out a single 12v rail the motherboard then has chokes and other components to convert the power to 3.3v and 5v for other components like the Hard Drive. It's very clever and efficient.
