Russian Government Refuses To Alllow Pirate Party Name For Elections

Apparently, Russia has refused to recognize the Pirate Party because the Justice Ministry doesn't like the name:

"piracy is an attack on sea of river craft, which is a criminal offense.'
Why, yes, it is. Now will the Russian Justice Ministry claim the same thing the next time the entertainment industry comes calling about infringement?

One does have to question how a name can be proscribed in this manner when its simply being used to describe a set of socio-political attributes not actually encouraging folks to take to the high seas with a shiny new cutlass
