hi need help for a friend

hi everyone my friend just got her new computer and she downloaded winmx. and she cant download but can upload when she tried to download she got this error file error 10 a hardware error
 does anyone know what this means ? and what i can tell her to do. thanks everyone

windows 7? right click and run as admin...

yeah windows 7 and she ran it as admin and its still not letting her download from anyone

change the directory its downloading the music to from its default to something else if that hasnt been done...
