Hi there,

It seems as if winMx is working Ok since yesterday. I don't know who fixed it, but THANK YOU! I've seen more attacks during the last years, but this time I thought "okay, this is the end of winmx", but no. So thumbs up (whatever you choose) for the developer, moderator and anyone who helped to fix it.

I would like to state here quite clearly that wmw have not as yet finished their network fix development and any return to normality is down to a cessation of activity by the attackers.

Let us hope this period of peace lasts for long enough to regain some of the thousands of users the attckers have driven away from the network so far.

Yes, but thank you for providing the Opennap networks to connect to. I still cannot seem to connect at all to the peer networks. Is there anything you could suggest that I might do? Not that it really matters...

opennap networks can be picky... esp when using winmx as the client (opennap is open source and there are multiple clients that can connect to it) check the username you are using for openap and make sure its not set to something like 'yourusername' ...
