the archive has the source code for 1.x (but not pre-compiled)... there was no 1.4 though, only went to 1.3 then it went to 2.0 :-)

any bot can send any commands to the room (such as /exile), there is no need to use mxbot for that, metis is the most commonly used (although many people find it difficult to edit the markup file)

KM i believe this is being sought for a particular purpose so an alternative may not suffice

Also
You state

Yet clearly here
httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/Nushi/NushiChat/NushiChat%201.4.lzh
there is a 1.4 version but seems to be in japanese
i think there must be an english version around somewhere...

anyone have a version?

KM would know what versions of MXBot there were.. having written it, you may have version numbers confused tho, as i believe the very last produced was v4.1, although in use i could never tell any difference from 4.0.... Metis is now usually the bot of choice now, being the most versatile, if somewhat complex to set up at times. Metis is CERTAINLY capable of anything MXBot did, & much more besides..

Sebby are you hunting for a mxbot version 1.4 , I,m slightly confused.

The Nushi can be any version from what KM has said so its just the bot and editor your interested in ?

Oh and to confuse matters further I remember mxcontrol released a bot too that worked the same , I,ll look the number of that up and see if thats the one mentioned .

These are the MxTools bot progs
 httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/KingMacro/MxBot/

These are the NushiChat versions
httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/Nushi/NushiChat/

These are the mxcontrol plugins for Nushichat
httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/MxControl/MxControl%20Miscellaneous/

I hope you find what you need in that pile and let us know what functions you where looking in theses older progs, someone may be able to help you with a little more information.

the way to make MXBot connect is as follows, install it, also install the patched nushi (chat only) to a different folder, then copy mxchat.exe from the chat only version to the mxbot folder, after which it will connect, & you can safely remove the chat only install...  alternatively you can attack the mxchat in the mxbot folder with a hex editor & point it at one of the current cache ip addresses, but i think the fist method is probably simpler
