Hack a old LCD monitor so nobody else can see your screen

If you have an old LCD display you can remove the polarized and anti-glare films from the inside of the monitor's glass surface and reassemble it; this will make the screen look bright white to the naked eye. To see the actual display you just need to use a bit of paint thinner to remove the anti-glare film from the polarization film and cut that to match the frames of an old pair of glasses. This produces a monitor that can only be seen when you're wearing the polarization filter glasses.

if they are only removing -one- of the polarization layers then yes it would work... if the glasses worn are in the correct polarization for the removed layer that is... else it would still just look bright white....

try an old lcd wristwatch first.... its the same idea...

ive turned the polarisers around before to get an inverted (white on black) set of numbers... take out the one in front (since a watch is reflective) and hold up to your eye and you can see the numbers... move it away and they disappear...
