Sorry, but I could not find any forum or topics about this matter...
I found recently someone downloading one software from me.... I browsed him by curiosity and found out he was sharring 3000 "kiddy porn" files!!! Horror!!! :shock: I Cancelled his download!!!!

My Apologies but I am missing one part of his ID: Jack_R...& FUCK_4_U..... or something similar...If you "meet" him around your upload browser ...kick him out!!! Any other users sharing the same kind of files should be kick out of the network!!!!!

I totaly agree with what you say because i am a child and i think it is nasty. On the other hand you have to think about the contries that allow it. I know it is sick but you cannot report someone that lives in a country that condones that. If they were from the US however report them imedietly. It was attempted before to kick all those people sharing those files off of the network but the project was never completed.

I don't know if it's possible why not have a forum / place where you could report the screen names to and have the admins browse their files then delete the user / screen names

3000 kiddy porn files sounds like an awful lot, although i have seen users sharing child porn b4 ive never seen it on anywhere near that scale, all may not be as it seems.

Also users should be warned that file names can be deceptive, i have seen on several occasions users being accused of having child porn only to find the file names were incorrect and although the file was of adult content, it was not in anyway child related.

I'm not saying there arent peodas on Winmx, i just find it a little strange anyone would be that blatent and share 3000 child files, knowing the chances are loads of users will report him/her.

No one has control over a decentralised network so this is just not possible unfortunately, putting aside the issue if it was someone would no doubt abuse the power such control would give over users.
This is the case a burden that the free society has to deal with and to try to minimise the impact of, this can be done by reporting any obviously child related material to the relevant authorities.

Here is a good place to start if you wish to make sure the authorities are aware of the problem.

About a week ago, i had a "private message" on MX when not at computer...
I've read it...
It said "oh and if you have any child porn files i'll take a screenshot of your file list and send it to your ISP and bring it to the police".

Oh yeah! I don't like porn child. I won't download those when the title of the file is to evident. Still, there's i often see on search results somes files that has weird names with words related to all kind of porn. A stupid way of getting their files to be uploaded.

I'm not that much into porn but how can a guy (or a girl) who is using WinMX can report someone else to autorities without them getting suspicious about the entire legality of the activities of the guy (or girl) ?

We all say that sharing program are not illegal but, we know that if nobody we're ripping CD to files, there would not be many files to share. For me, all that could be left would be free wallpaper from the net.

So i think that it is to the user to ignore want they don't wanna know about.
