I'm not sure what I miss the most as a result of the malicious traffic being sent across the network.

I think i used the room listing as much as the search function.

I miss them both equally, so had to answer "other"... was a nice reminder the other day seeing a channel list and searches functioning, along with an active transfers window.

The relatively large response to 'Search function' tells me MX is still primarily a sharing/transfer tool, more than a chat client

Thats why I voted for search, search has no backup.

1000 times this. 6-7 years ago WinMX was da bomb, I got plenty of stuff I couldn't get/no longer find anywhere else, and in return I offered tons myself.

Hi LiveForeverNow, dont let the scum who attack us drive you away with their antics, there are still thousands of winmxers out there sharing and chatting away. You might have forgotten that I asked many of the WPN users to switch to open-nap until we are able to finally rid the network of these mindless chumps, I know its been a long while but we are nearing a time when its possible to dump all of the attacks and mutate the network protocol each time there's a new one, we can do that forever if necessary and as you know a moving target is a lot harder to pin down.

During my testing its clear that there are still folks on the WPN sharing but its also clear that the attackers are bringing further new attacks to try to take the network down, they will give up before anyone here does so sit tight and use open nap and the normal chat rooms until we are have a beta 3 in position, beta 2 will be our next release but wont feature the code necesary to shut them down, as you may appreciate we have to walk before we can run marathons.

Keep the faith
