in que but no dl or ul

I was a winmx person a while back but stopped because I continually get the same thing with being in the que but nothing ever downloads nor does anything upload.  I don't know why this is happening but I believe one reason is because some people have forgotten the concept of sharing, what p2p is all about, but I am sure there are other reasons but I cannot determine what the reason is.  It worked before but now it does not.  Westell 7500 modem/router, XP, Windows firewall with MX approved.  I am not sure what else to provide but help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi Tfrost, it may seem as if there are a truck load of folks not sharing but its more likely that what you're seeing are the fake entries being placed on the network by an anti p2p attacker, a simple way to check for such files and ignore them is to use the "ping all results" as this will weed out those who are offline but who's info is being replayed by the attacker.

There are many folks sharing still but Ping then double-check using Browse is the sure-fire way to confirm that they are real search results and are available files.
