while I was searching for an artist, winmix tried to send an e-mail. Can anyone tell me why, and where the e-mail was going to? It has never happened before. Thanks jrc

As far as I know the only time WinMx will actually try to send anything is if it encounters an error, if this happens be sure to select Dont Send.  No one is listening anyway .. lol

If this problem keeps happening let us know..

many firewalls etc incorrectly assume that all connections winmx makes to port 25 are for email, as email will normally use port 25 (using SMTP) for sending to servers. Several (mostly japanese) winmx users use port 25 for winmx because of ISP restrictions etc so that would be why winmx is connecting to port 25.
