Lenovo Installs Unremovable Unwanted Software

Lenovo has been using code in the firmware of some devices to make unwanted software persist even after users reinstall operating systems.
Lenovo is exploiting Microsoft's Windows Platform Binary Table feature, which is built into Windows machines.

the approved laptop list seems to be getting smaller, what brands do you guys stick with?

im using an aspire one netbook running linux right now but netbooks seem to have been a stepping stone product to those two in one things (i dont want a blasted tablet) ... after some searching i found the toshiba tecra business laptop line to be what i want... an actual computer.. not a tablet or convertible or... well anyway thats my eventual goal is to get one of those (w/ intel graphics so i have open drivers from the start) and stick linux on it...
